Company Overview
Founded in 2018, NuEra Steel is a custom structural steel fabrication shop located at 708 E. Blaine Avenue, Viborg, South Dakota, in the east-side Industrial Park. What began as a small, two-person operation—my son, a certified welder, and myself managing the office and shop—has grown into a skilled and reliable team of eight professionals across office and shop operations.
Our growth reflects both our commitment to quality and the trust our clients place in us. Today, NuEra Steel delivers detailed, dependable steel fabrication services for a wide range of structural and miscellaneous metal projects.

All structural welders are certified through GeoTech, Sioux Falls, SD. Welding certifications are available upon request.
Capabilities & Services
NuEra Steel provides comprehensive in-house services, including:
- Structural steel detailing
- Fabrication, and prime painting
- Approval, shop, and erection drawings in accordance with AISC detailing standards
Coordination of special requirements such as:
- Weld testing
- Special inspections
- Material certifications
- Custom coatings (finish paint, powder coat, galvanizing, and more)
Our team works closely with project stakeholders to ensure specifications and design requirements are met accurately and efficiently.

- Main Building: 80’ x 100’ fabrication shop with attached 30’ x 40’ office (built new in 2023)
- Paint Shop: 30’ x 60’ (built new in 2025)

Advanced Steel – Tekla – SDS2 (All platforms utilize full 3D BIM capabilities.)
Support Equipment
Forklifts: 9,000 lb JGL, 8,000 lb Komatsu, 4,500 lb Toyota, 3,500 lb CAT, 3,500 lb Toyota – Overhead hoists: (2) 2-ton units – Magnetic drills, grinders, and complete fabrication hand tools
